WEAPONS MAINTENANCE: Strike-Hold is a highly penetrating mobile liquid and is intended for field application to satisfy the complete need of cleaning, lubricating, and long-term preservation of both small and large caliber weapons. Strike-Hold facilitates the effective removal of firing residues, gums, and other contaminants from weapon components, while at the same time providing adequate lubrication and long-term preservation for reliable, durable operation in all climatic conditions.
ELECTRICAL / COMMUNICATIONS: Strike-Hold has an extremely high dielectric strength and will actually improve electrical performance by cleaning and protecting contacts and internal parts, including circuitry and connections. This product will not harm commonly associated materials, such as rubber, most plastics, and wood finishes.

3.Dry Lubricant...REPELS dirt!
STRIKE-HOLD AND WATER: We at R&D Personal Protection know Strike-Hold is heavier than water and want to prove it to you. So we took Strike-Hold and compared it with other Major Brands of Lubricants and Protectants to see what it would do in water.
From left to right: Strike-Hold, Break-Free Collector and WD-40. Which would you rather have on your gun?
We took three 2oz. bottles and added about 1 1/2oz. of water and about 1/4oz. of product. We also added a Nut & Bolt that you can find at any hardware store.
Although most products claim to be "water displacers" (WD-40, Break-Free, etc.) all they really do is float on water. To displace water you have to move it, like the bolt did when it was dropped in the water. Strike-Hold is heavier than water and moves water away from the metal and is a true " Water Displacer."
What does this mean? The surface of a guns metal looks smooth, but is actually a porous surface. When oil is applied, it fills the small pores of the metal to help lubricate and prevent rust. When water comes in contact with the metal, such as rain or moisture from your finger, it goes into the pores of the metal and lifts out the oil. This is because oil is lighter than water. What's worse is this can be even more harmful to your gun, as now the water is trapped in the pores of the metal by the oil and can cause rust.
Strike-Hold is heavier than water so when moisture is applied to the gun, such as from your fingers, the Strike-Hold stays in the pores while the moisture lays on top. This helps to protect your gun and other metals from rust.
What is the basic function of Strike-Hold®?
Strike-Hold is a cleaner, lubricant, and protectant formulated for all metals.
Will Strike-Hold harm the plastic or wood finish on my weapon?
No. Strike-Hold was developed specifically so that associated materials that come in contact with the product are not affected.
Will Strike-Hold remove the parkerization or blueing from my weapon?
No. We know from experience that many other cleaners remove the protective coatings applied during manufacturing of a weapon. Strike-Hold will not remove these coatings.
Does Strike-Hold clean, lubricate and protect parts I can't spray directly?
Yes. Strike-Hold has capillary action, working its way up, in, and around parts you can't see or get to.
Will Strike-Hold work in extreme climates?
Yes. We use a synthetic ester which allows for functionality with a tremendous range of temperature (-59 to 165 degrees Celsius). Although temperatures like this don't occur naturally, a weapon (or engine parts, for example) heats up dramatically during use, especially if prolonged use is required, and Strike-Hold keeps working even during this extreme period, reducing dangerous malfunctions.
Won't the lubricant in Strike-Hold attract sand and dirt?
No. Strike-Hold goes on "wet", but dries quickly, leaving a DRY shield-like film lubricant to protect against the effects of moisture while actually REPELLING sand, dirt and dust!
Is Strike-Hold a bore cleaner?
Yes, apply as directed above, then run patches through as necessary.
How do I apply Strike-Hold for optimal performance?
Just spray on and in the weapon (or whatever it is you are treating), then wipe the excess off of outside parts. Note, you will not "wipe away" the product by doing this, the effective ingredients will not wipe or wash off! To loosen corroded or rusty parts, just spray on. For most applications, action is instant. For heavy corrosion or especially tough jobs, let Strike-Hold "work" for a few minutes, then try again.
