This has got to be one of the greatest ideas for the Kel-Tec pistol, a Grip Holster and yes it is legal.

This holster "does not conceal the appearance of the pistol. There is a hole permitting operation of the trigger." It "merely encloses the grip and trigger guard of the pistol and extends in front of the grip and below the slide. The entire slide of the pistol is exposed." It is "not subject to the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 or 26 U.S.C. Chapter 53." It "would not meet the definition of an 'any other weapon' in section 5845(e) of title 26 U.S.C.."

The Kel-Tec pistol slides into the holster from the top, which makes it a modified grip. Insert your index finger into the Trigger Guard area, your middle finger into the hole and you're all set. Add our magazine Finger Grip Extension to get an even better grip and you are ready for anything.

This item will leave no "printing" at all and will not slow you down or get in the way when you draw, like a regular pocket holster might. We have sold hundreds of these already to people and they love them and you will too.

We have shown the holster with a Kel-Tec P3AT inserted for carry. The magazine catch is easily accessible as well as the magazine for reloading. The holster adds thickness to the grip, which will help some people to get a better grip on the pistol.

This is a New Magazine Finger Grip Extension that will fit the Kel-Tec P-3AT, Kel-Tec P-32, Bersa 380 and other .380 cal pistols. It requires no modification to your magazine, other than removing the factory base plate and sliding the new extension on.
 The extension helps to give you a better grip on your pistol. A man will be able to get two fingers on his pistol. A woman should be able to get three fingers on her pistol. This will help you get better feel and control of your pistol and to achieve greater accuracy. The added extension will not hinder the concealment of your pistol.
This extension does not increase the capacity of your magazine.
