ARMALASER Tips

Kel-Tec P32/P3AT, Kel-Tec P11/P40 & Ruger LCP Installation Tips

If your gun is new or you haven’t shot it that much, it may be difficult to remove the pin from the frame of the pistol. Here are some things we suggest to make installation easier.

Take a wood block and drill a 1/2” holes in it.

3/4" Oak Board with 1/8"-1/2" holes drilled

Next remove the Slide and Magazine from the gun so all you have now is the Frame.

Place the Frame in the Freezer for about 15 minutes. This will cause the Plastic Pin to contract and make it easier to remove.

Place frame on board over 1/2” hole. Use 1/8” punch and mallet to remove pin.

Wipe off any moisture that may have accumulated on the frame before installing Laser. Install Laser according to manufacturers instructions.

Frequently Asked Questions

My pins won't fit in the Mounting Bracket holes?

If the holes in the Mounting Brackets or S-hooks are to small you can use either a small pocket knife, a small round file or a piece of sandpaper rolled into a cylinder to expand the holes. You will only need to remove a small amount in order to make the pins fit.

My Laser won't come on when I put my finger in the trigger guard?

Make sure that the Main Power Switch, located on the bottom of the Laser, is pushed forward and in the "On" position.

Make sure that you are touching the Silver Touch-Sensor Tabs with the skin of your finger and not the fingernail. The laser is activated by the electrical current in your body and the fingernail does not conduct current.

Check to make sure Batteries are installed correctly. Refer to manufacturers instructions for proper installation.

I only received one pin in my Kel-Tec P32/P3AT or Ruger LCP laser box. It says I need two (2) pins. Where is the other pin?

The second pin is installed in the Laser housing. It is one of the pins that is used to hold the laser together for shipping.

 Cleaning Tips

Like your pistol, your laser can get dirty after shooting; so you will have to take it apart and clean it. If you have a Trigger Guard model, simply remove the screws from the one side and lift off the cover. Use a rag or a Q-tip with rubbing alcohol to clean the batteries and contacts of any dirty or residue. If you have a heavy build up of grime that won't come off, us a pencil eraser to remove the deposits.

Also remember to clean out the Laser Aperture. Dirt, Lint and Gunpowder can collect on the lense and dull the beam or make it look fuzzy. Clean the lens with a Q-tip swap and rubbing alcohol.
